The inverter can work normally when using AGM battery but the front-stage MOSFET bursts after replacing it with a lithium battery

Model

BP series With Bypass inverter 2000W

Description

The inverter can work normally when using AGM battery. After replacing it with a lithium battery, the situation shown in the figure appears, the front-stage MOSFET bursts.

Analysis of the possibility of the cause
According to the customer's response, after replacing the lithium battery, the front MOSFET bursts. It can be judged that the voltage of the replaced lithium battery is too high that exceed the voltage range the machine can withstand, causing the front-stage MOS tube to burst.

Solutions and steps

Replace MOSFET.
